nobody real reads your entries.
Written plainly, because a privacy policy you cannot read is not one. This describes what Nocaps stores, who can see it, and how to make it stop. Last updated 12 August 2026.
the short version
your entries stay yours
They are never published, shown to another user, sold, or used to train anybody’s model.
the cast are software
Margo, Sable, Bug, Corinne, Odell and Wick are AI characters. No human reads your writing to reply to it.
you can delete all of it
One request wipes the account, the entries and the memory. It is not recoverable afterwards, by us or by you.
what we store
Three things. Your entries, as you wrote them. The cast’s replies to them. An account record: an email address, a subscription status, and the date you joined.
To make the cast current on you, we also derive a memory from your entries: names you mention, threads that continue, and the six counts on your file screen. That memory is built from your writing and nothing else. Inside the app there is no address book access, no contact upload, no location, no advertising identifier, and no third-party analytics following you around the internet.
who can see it
You. That is the whole list. Nocaps has no followers, no discovery, no shared feeds and no way to make your writing visible to another person. The people you write about, Priya and Nadia and whoever else, are not in the app. They have no account, no face here, and they never see any of this.
Your entries are sent to an AI provider (Anthropic, OpenAI or Google) to generate the cast’s replies. They are processed only to produce that reply and are not used to train that provider’s models. A very small number of engineers can access stored data when they have to, for a specific fault, under access logging. Nobody reads entries for interest.
Share cards are the one exception, and you make them deliberately. A card carries a line you chose and the wordmark. It carries no name, no handle, no photograph and nothing that identifies you.
the demo on this site
Whatever you type into the demo is not saved. It exists in your browser for as long as the page is open, it is not attached to an account, and closing the tab ends it. If you join the waitlist we keep the email address you gave us and nothing else, and we use it once, to tell you the app is ready.
this website
Everything above describes the app. This website is a separate thing, and it does use analytics. We count page views, demo tries and sign-ups with PostHog, and we run the TikTok and Meta advertising pixels so we can tell which ad brought you here and stop paying for the ones that do not work.
Those tools set cookies and can see your IP address and your browser. None of them ever receives what you type into the demo. If you are in the EU or the UK, none of them load at all until you say yes, and you can change your mind from the cookies link at the bottom of any page.
deletion
Delete a single entry from the entry itself, and the cast forget it, including any receipt built on it. Delete the account from settings, or by writing to hello@nocaps.com, and everything goes: entries, replies, derived memory, and the account record. We complete it within 30 days and confirm when it is done. Backups age out within a further 30 days.
You can also ask for a copy of everything you have written, as a plain text file, at the same address.
security and children
Entries are encrypted in transit and at rest. Nocaps is for people aged 16 and over. It is not designed for children and we do not knowingly keep an account for one.
